How to Install NERO Press Fittings

Step 1:
Square cut the tube to length. This ideally needs to be done with an appropriate cutting tool which can be handheld or electric.

Step 2:
Remove any burr that has been produced from the cut either inside or outside the pipe. This will avoid any damage to the O-ring, which is the part used to make a seal and prevents any leakage.

Step 3:
Check the fitting to ensure the O-ring is correctly located.

Step 4:
Push the tube into the fitting as far as the tube stop and mark the tube for reference prior to pressing.

Step 5:
Once the arrangement has been created it can then be easily sealed. Using an appropriate crimping tool, fit the correct diameter jaws and insert the assembled tube and fitting to be pressed.

Step 6:
A blue press indicator will break off once a full seal has been achieved. This provides assurance that the joint is fully formed and won’t leak. It also eliminates the risk of under or over tightening.
Remove the broken blue indicator and check the joint.
